Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress, producer and director. She's been honored for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards like an Oscar for the movie Piano. Her career began acting as a performer on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Being an actor has always been a passion. In fifth grade, she was Helen Keller. Her mumps left her blind and deaf in the one ear, but she refused to let that hinder her progress as an actor. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in college, and then moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh to achieve her goals. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and the two collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. The actress moved from New York to Los Angeles and tried to secure movie roles. in Swing Shift, she landed her first role as a character support. She has appeared in countless television series, films and films over the course of her career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
